A hearing for a motion to dismiss the charges against one of the suspects in the case of two Lewis County murders in 1999 has been continued.
The motion filed by Joseph Metz's lawyers was filed last week and the hearing was originally scheduled for 1 p.m. on Thursday.
According to the Lewis County Prosecutor's Office, no future date has been set for the hearing of this motion.
Defense lawyers have also filed a petition to disqualify Circuit Judge Kurt Hall from hearing the case, claiming bias since Judge Hall accepted a guilty plea from David Hughes in the same case.
Metz is accused in the 1999 murder of his mother Maxine Stalnaker and grandmother Mary Friend.
Hughes plead guilty in February to only one charge of conspiracy to commit robbery in exchange for testimony in the case.
The third party accused in the case, Charles Freeman of Archbold, Ohio, has an arraignment scheduled for next week after his extradition to West Virginia.
The trail for Metz is still set to begin in October.
