Head-on collision leaves two dead in Gilmer County

Two people are dead after a head-on collision in Gilmer County.
According to the West Virginia State Police, Brenda Stump, 49, of Glenville, was travelling East in an SUV on Route 5 Wednesday when witnesses said she crossed the center line. Shen then struck a SUV travelling West driven by Misty Tomblin, 34, of Glenville, head-on.
Tomblin was wearing a seatbelt, however, Stump was not.
A toxicology report was requested for both drives, but alcohol or drugs do not appear to have been involved.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene and no other passengers were in either vehicle.
